Kathleen Shellrude creates bright and playful images in MAKE (BELIEVE) FRIENDS; functional objects with luscious colour and playfulness evoke wonder and fun. In times of longing for visceral companionship and friendship, Shellrude discusses noticing that hope and light have emerged in her art themes, finding her path to a life of art, and living by making art.
