Your Wihuri Wonder

Wihuri Wonder Winner (9).png

In recognition of Cmre David Hanson—affectionately known as the “Happy Hump Day Guy”—
for his uplifting presence and contribution to morale at 17 Wing Winnipeg. With his trademark
smile and joyful “Happpppy Hump Dayyyy!!” greeting, Dave brought daily positivity to everyone
passing through the gate. His absence was felt when the North Gate closed, and his
return at the Wihuri Gate was met with excitement and appreciation. His simple, consistent
gestures have had a lasting impact on the community. For his infectious energy and the joy
he brings, Cmre Hanson is a true Wihuri Wonder.
