Accommodations at The Dakota Inn
Wing Accommodations has eight buildings to meet the various needs of all living-in
members, students, transient personnel, and emergency housing.
To reserve a room at 17 Wing Accommodations, we require that you fill in the Reservation Request form and return it to us. *We do not process non-duty requests until two weeks prior to the arrival date. Non-duty requests received prior to the two-week period are held on file.
Occupants: We require the names of all personnel that will be occupying the room/rooms
Pets: Certified service dogs are allowed as defined per 17 Wing Routine Orders 21/05 (15 Mar 2021) No other Pets allowed

WIFI
Short Term Parking: We offer complimentary parking for our Guests. Parking lot opposite B79 (Dakota Inn) is reserved for hotel guests.
Free Long-Term Parking: Permits are available at the MP section (B95) by the main gate. The MP Dispatch Commissionaire will direct you to the designated long-term parking areas.
Laundry Services: We have washing machines and dryers available in all buildings. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets can be purchased at Canex located at 700 Wihuri Rd
Gym: Fitness centre located on the 3rd floor of building 79

Guests Experiences
Was stranded in Winnipeg due to weather after a medical appointment. Dakota Inn was not only able to secure a room for a second night, it was free because I was stranded. Thank you so much!

I would like to offer my most sincere gratitude for the accommodation team's assistance last Friday, January 16th. We had just over 30 students and staff on their way to Shilo, returning from a three-day camp in Moose Lake, when the news announced that highways 1, 2 and 3 were closing with no chance for the bus to make it back safely to CFB Shilo. Safety being our top priority, the decision to stay in Winnipeg was an easy one, but collateral problems quickly prompted us to act, including finding a hotel for the night, buying food, organizing transportation for the next day, reassuring the parents, etc. We called 11 hotels in Winnipeg, all of which were fully booked, and time was becoming a real challenge. Suddenly, Lieutenant-Colonel Nguyen offered to call the Dakota Inn to find a place for the students and chaperones. When I heard that the team had accepted, it took a heavy load off my shoulders. This act of generosity has not been forgotten. Please accept this small offering as a gesture of our appreciation. In education, we continuously learn from our experiences, and I can tell you that the students were inspired by your hospitality and the breakfast.
