Volunteers from across the 17 Wing community were recognised and celebrated during the 17 Wing Volunteer Appreciation event on August 14, 2026. The event was hosted by the Winnipeg Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) and Personnel Support Program (PSP) Winnipeg.

Held during the Winnipeg Goldeyes' Manitoba Social Night, the event brought volunteers together for an evening of baseball, community connection, and a spectacular fireworks display.

We were honoured to celebrate alongside the 17 Wing Commander Colonel Curtis Wright, Chief Warrant Officer Richard Pierre Rousseau, and the leaders and staff of the Winnipeg MFRC and PSP Winnipeg, whose presence highlighted the important role volunteers play in the community.

Thank you to all 17 Wing volunteers, both those who joined us for this celebration and those who were unable to attend, as well as the family members and guests who shared this special evening with us. Through their dedication, generosity, and commitment, our volunteers make a meaningful difference every day and strengthen the community we are proud to serve.
