Curling Funspiel: A Friday to Remember

On Friday, November 21st, PSP turned the ice into a playground of laughter and friendly competition as they hosted the much-anticipated Curling Funspiel at the Deer Lodge Curling Club. The rink buzzed with excitement as 20 teams—about 80 enthusiastic participants — slid into action, brooms in hand and spirits high.

From seasoned curlers to first-time sweepers, everyone brought their A-game (and a few creative sweeping techniques!). The stones glided across the ice with precision—or sometimes with a mind of their own—sparking cheers and good-natured groans from teammates. Between ends, the air was filled with laughter, high-fives, and the unmistakable sound of curling rocks clinking together.

The event wasn’t just about competition; it was about connection. Colleagues became teammates, and strangers turned into friends over shared victories and near misses. By the end of the day, the scoreboard told one story, but the smiles told another: this was a win for everyone.

As the last stone settled and the final sweep was made, participants left with warm hearts (and maybe a few sore muscles), already looking forward to next year’s Funspiel. PSP proved once again that when it comes to building community, they truly know how to rock the house!
